Getting married in Italy requires some paperwork and appointments with officials.

We at "Weddings in Tuscany" can assist you every step of the way, from translating your documentation to scheduling and accompanying you to appointments with Italian officials or completing the necessary paperwork and legalities.

Do not obtain documents and certificates more than six months prior to wedding date or they expire.

You will need to obtain the necessary Certificate of Non Impediment:

You both need to Publish the Banns at your local registry office in England.
Your Certificate of Non Impediment will be released after 23 days.
Bring this original document to Italy for the Nulla Osta ( sworn statement ) to be done at the British Consulate. To obtain the Nulla Osta in Italy - Present to the British Consulate in Italy:
Certificate of Non Impediment Originals of Birth Certificates, which must include names of both parents
A photocopy and original passports of both British Citizens being married
Divorce Decree Absolute if you are divorced - Consulate fee ( this is approximately £70)

After a couple of days the Consulate will release the necessary documents for you to marry.
