The chapel has quite an interesting history. Originally a public chapel from the 13th century where mass was held each Sunday, the chapel even had its own priest until the 17th century. It is now consecrated for Anglican wedding ceremonies. The chapel features a neoclassic facade. The arch on the upper part of the building features floral motifs and the Annunciation.

Guests wishing to celebrate their ceremony in this endearing chapel may also stay at the lavishly decorated villa, restored and modernized with great care and intricate detail. It accommodates up to 22 persons in 11 double bedrooms 10 of which offer ensuite bathrooms. The villa features 5 large reception rooms including a TV room, a drawing room, a library and 2 dining rooms. The formal drawing room has a marble fireplace, grand piano and overlooks the lemon garden with the Apuan Alps in the distance. The libary offers bridge tables and internet access. The family dining room overlooks the camellia garden and has the original frescoes throughout and a working a fireplace. The formal dining room is elegantly decorated and sits 24 persons. There are two kitchens in the villa.
